Strained pectoral for Seahawks QB Jackson
By Mike Sando
The injury Tarvaris Jackson suffered Sunday, first reported as to his shoulder, is a strained pectoral, coach Pete Carroll told reporters following the game.
The Seahawks have a bye in Week 6, giving Jackson additional time to rest. Charlie Whitehurst played well enough in relief for Seattle to score a 36-25 road victory over the New York Giants.
This victory should buy the Seahawks relief from seemingly incessant criticisms over their choices at quarterback this season.
