|Arizona wide receiver Anquan Boldin was carted off the field after a head-to-head hit at the end of Sunday's 56-35 loss to the New York Jets.|
Watching and re-watching the hits (fast forward to 5:36 mark) on Anquan Boldin raised questions about the Jets' play.
Make no mistake, the Jets' Eric Smith led with his helmet. That could draw a fine. But that was only part of the story based on what I saw. The first hit on Boldin, delivered from behind, sent Boldin's head shooting forward and down -- directly into Smith's path.
It all happened so fast. I'd be interested in hearing your take on the combination of hits and whether they were egregious, unfortunate, both or somewhere in between.
