Setting expectations for questionable Lynch
By Mike Sando
The Seattle Seahawks listed Marshawn Lynch as questionable for Week 1 after the running back practiced for a second consecutive day.
Back spasms had sidelined the 26-year-old power back.
This is the third time since 2008 that Lynch has been listed on an injury report with a back injury. He carried 29 times for 55 yards -- 1.9 yards per attempt -- in the two previous games. Lynch was probable for those games. One fell against Cincinnati last season. The other was against Miami in 2008, when Lynch was with Buffalo.
This week marks the second time since 2008 that Lynch has been listed as questionable on an injury report. He carried 11 times for 34 yards (3.1 per carry) for Buffalo during a 2008 game against Denver. He had a shoulder injury then.
The Seahawks face Arizona on Sunday. The Cardinals faced one running back listed as questionable last season. Frank Gore carried 24 times for 88 yards (3.7 per carry) during a Week 11 victory over Arizona last season. He had suffered a knee injury against the New York Giants the previous week.
Thanks to ESPN Stats & Information for the injury breakdowns.
The Cardinals have listed their starting back, Beanie Wells, as questionable with a hamstring injury. More on him in a bit.
