Before the Seahawks left for the East Coast today, coach Mike Holmgren said the team didn't anticipate releasing one of its seven receivers before playing the Giants on Sunday.
And judging from what Holmgren told KJR radio's Mitch Levy this morning, Koren Robinson still figures into the team's plans this season even though a knee injury is keeping him from practicing. Holmgren described the injury as minor and said the return of Bobby Engram and Deion Branch from injuries gives him the luxury of bringing along Robinson more slowly.
Ideally, Holmgren said, Robinson would be one of the top three receivers along with Engram and Branch. But Keary Colbert and Billy McMullen also factor into the plans. And Michael Bumpus has appeal for his ability to return punts. Courtney Taylor is the other receiver on the roster.
