The New Orleans Saints' injury list keeps shrinking by the day.
Receiver Brandin Cooks was the latest prominent player to return to practice Monday, according to reports. And a source told ESPN that defensive end Akiem Hicks' injury is not serious and he should be back shortly.
In recent days, the Saints have also returned C.J. Spiller, Brandon Coleman, Terron Armstead, Tim Lelito, Dannell Ellerbe and Anthony Spencer, among others. Cooks, Spiller and Coleman remained limited on Monday, based on reports, but all have increased their workload after dealing with minor ailments.
Even long snapper Justin Drescher increased his work off to the side on Monday, according to reports.
Based on NOLA.com's tally sheet, only seven players remained sidelined Monday: Hicks, Drescher, safety Jairus Byrd, safety Kenny Phillips, cornerback P.J. Williams, linebacker Davis Tull and receiver/returner Jalen Saunders.
One other injury note: The Saints waived undrafted rookie receiver Malcome Kennedy off of their injured reserve list Monday.
