LANDOVER, Md. -- The Michael Crabtree deadline continues on for at least another day.
The San Francisco 49ers have one more day to activate their star receiver to the 53-man roster or shelve him for the season. And it would be a total shock if Crabtree is not activated by Tuesday’s deadline. There was some thought he would be activated in time for Monday night's game, however, the 49ers did not make the move Monday.
Crabtree, who is recovering from a torn Achilles he suffered in May, has been practicing some since Nov. 5. If or when Crabtree is activated, it doesn’t necessarily mean he will play right away as the team will likely be eased in action. San Francisco is hopeful he will be at full strength for a playoff run.
