A weekly examination of the Texans' ESPN.com Power Ranking:

Preseason: 7 | Last Week: 32 | ESPN.com Power Ranking since 2002

For the first time all season, the Texans were a nearly unanimous selection as the 32nd-ranked team in the NFL. The only holdout was ESPN Insider Mike Sando, who ranked the Texans 31st and the New York Jets 32nd.

As the losses accumulate, it's hard for anyone to deny the Texans belong there. Players are grappling with that reality, most still believing that they are capable of playing like a better team but understanding that they aren't right now.

There were positive signs on Sunday against the New England Patriots, but the loss put the Texans at the top of the draft order as it stands now. Houston is the only team in the NFL with only two wins.
