Ravens are healthiest ever under Harbaugh

Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh doesn't particularly like to talk about injuries. So, this offseason must've been enjoyable for him because there hasn't been much to talk about in that regard.

For the first time in Harbaugh's six years as head coach, the Ravens had all of their projected starters practicing at the mandatory minicamp. What's more important is that no starter is expected to begin training camp on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list, which would also be a first for Harbaugh.

This is the healthiest the Ravens have ever been under Harbaugh. Only six players missed practice at this week's minicamp -- defensive end Kapron Lewis-Moore (hamstring), offensive lineman Jah Reid (calf), nose tackle Terrence Cody (hip), wide receivers Kamar Aiken (Achilles') and Jace Davis (ankle) and rookie offensive tackle Parker Graham (undisclosed) -- and all of them are backups.

Even those players should be ready to suit up when training camp begins July 24. “I’d say it looks really good for almost all those guys,” Harbaugh said.

Harbaugh has had much bigger concerns in recent years. In 2012, outside linebacker Terrell Suggs tore his Achilles' tendon and missed half of the season. Last year, linebacker Jameel McClain and guard Marshal Yanda both began training camp on PUP.

The biggest injury question mark heading into this year's offseason workouts is no longer one. Left guard Kelechi Osemele hasn't had any setbacks after missing the last nine games last season following back surgery.

“Very pleased with Kelechi, very pleased with everything he’s done,” Harbaugh said. “Looking forward to getting the pads on him. I think Kelechi, as good as he looked in shorts, he’s going to look even better in pads.”
