To celebrate the 45th season of "Monday Night Football," a panel of ESPN.com contributors has selected the 45 most memorable moments in MNF history. Follow along as we reveal one per day and count down to this season's MNF debut.

No. 36: Broncos 22, Raiders 21 | Nov. 4, 1996

The Denver Broncos held a 16-7 lead five minutes into the fourth quarter before the Oakland Raiders responded with two straight touchdowns to take a five-point lead late.

The previous season, quarterback John Elway led the Broncos to 14 unanswered fourth-quarter points to beat the Raiders on Dec. 24. On this Monday night, the Broncos were in need of another game-winning drive, and that is exactly what Elway delivered against the Broncos' archrival.

Elway led a six-play, 73-yard drive in 47 seconds, culminating in a 49-yard touchdown pass to Rod Smith. Although it isn't as famous as "The Drive" that beat the Browns in the 1986 AFC Championship Game, both drives resulted in Denver wins.

A 2004 Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee, Elway finished his career with 46 game-winning drives, now the third most in NFL history (behind Dan Marino and Peyton Manning).
