The New York Jets are unleashing their frustrations in the Meadowlands.
After two weeks of unpleasant discovery, the Jets are rolling it up on the Arizona Cardinals, 24-0, with 3:32 left in the first half.
Brett Favre has shaken off a bad cross-field interception to throw two cathartic touchdown strikes to Laveranues Coles, who had been biting his tongue out of allegiance to his pal, Chad Pennington, the quarterback who got tossed out to make room for Favre.
Favre and Coles sure look like they're getting along now. Favre almost drilled him for a third score late in the half on a drive the Cardinals refused to snuff. The Cardinals committed a facemask to negate what would have been a third-down stop in the red zone and then roughed Jay Feely to wipe out what would have been a missed field goal.
Update: There wasn't a lot of time left in the first half when I originally posted this item, but it was plenty of time for the Cardinals to fumble twice more, Coles to catch another touchdown and Feely to kick another field field for a 34-0 halftime lead.
