In the fast-moving pace of Internet reporting, Minnesota defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier went from the top of Seattle’s list for its opening to off the chart in a matter of an hour.
Frazier declined the Seahawks’ offer to interview, according to ESPN’s Chris Mortensen. It’s possible Frazier learned that Southern California coach Pete Carroll is the Seahawks’ top choice, as Mortensen is also reporting. Update: Mortensen also reports Carroll could take Trojans offensive coordinator Jeremy Bates with him to Seattle, eliminating a top candidate for Chicago's open job.
Thus ends the NFC North’s involvement in Seattle’s bidniss. Next time we look at NFC West blogger Mike Sando's work, it will be in relation to Sunday's wild-card game at Arizona. Carry on.
