Again, good move for both sides. The Saints are keeping a player who played an important role in them winning the Super Bowl and they could have even bigger plans for Hargrove, who also can play defensive end, in the future.
Hargrove built up goodwill in New Orleans last season as he resurrected his career. He earned the trust of the Saints and is surrounded by a good support system in New Orleans. It makes a lot more sense for him to stay there instead of starting over somewhere else.
We told you earlier this one was coming, but the Saints now officially have announced defensive tackle Anthony Hargrove has signed his tender as a restricted free agent.
