What it Means: The Jaguars got blown out 38-13 for the team’s third consecutive terrible performance on the West Coast. At 1-1 they’re still even with the Titans and could be even or ahead of the Colts depending on what Indy does against the Giants Sunday night.
Goat: A week after he threw three touchdown passes in a home win over Denver, David Garrard threw four interceptions and was pulled in the fourth quarter for Luke McCown. When McCown got hurt, Garrard returned as quarterback for Jacksonville and threw a touchdown to Mike Sims-Walker, but it was far too late to offset his earlier work. Maurice Jones-Drew and Sims-Walker also chipped in on the turnover parade with lost fumbles.
What I Found Interesting: The Jaguars were too busy turning the ball over to punt. Adam Podlesh took the field for his primary job. Mike Scifres wasn’t busy either, he punted twice and Rashad Jennings blocked the first try.
What’s Next: The Jaguars play their first of four games against the NFC East when they host Philadelphia.
