Drew Brees passes Tom Brady in Total QBR

New Orleans quarterback Drew Brees has moved past New England’s Tom Brady in one area.

Brees jumped over Brady into second place in the Total QBR season rankings. Brees now has a 74.4 season-long Total QBR, while Brady is at 73.4. Aaron Rodgers is No. 1 at 88.0.

Brees scored 87.9 in Sunday’s victory against Tampa Bay to make the jump. Atlanta’s Matt Ryan scored 86.9 in Sunday’s win against Indianapolis.

Ryan is tied for No. 9 on the season at 64.4. Tampa Bay’s Josh Freeman had a 61.3 Total QBR on Sunday and is No. 20 in the league at 48.3 for the season.

The Carolina Panthers had a bye Sunday. Cam Newton is No. 12 in the league for the season with a 59.0 Total QBR.
