SAN FRANCISCO -- About 10 minutes before the Steelers-49ers game, the power at Candlestick Park went out and caused the entire place to go dark.
A transformer blew outside the stadium, according to a 49ers spokesman. The situation is being handled by city engineers. The problem is expected to be fixed in five to 10 minutes, the spokesman added.
When the lights went out, none of the players were out on the field. It happened shortly after warm-ups.
