DENVER – Random thoughts from halftime, where the Chiefs lead the Broncos, 7-0.

Kansas City quarterback Kyle Orton is throwing the ball often against his former team. He has completed 10-of-18 passes for 128 yards. He has hooked up with receiver Dwayne Bowe — a pending free agent – for six catches and 93 yards. Bowe is having his way against Denver star cornerback Champ Bailey. Last year, Bailey controlled Bowe after a torrid three-game stretch for Bowe.

Bowe was hurt near the end of the half and reportedly went in for X-rays.

Kansas City running back Dexter McCluster is having a nice day. He has 59 yards on eight carries, including a 21-yard touchdown run.

Denver quarterback Tim Tebow has not been good. He completed 3-of-8 passes for 29 yards. His accuracy problems are continuing. Tebow ruined a potential game-tying drive in the second quarter when he fumbled at the Kansas City 11. He has lost a fumble in the past five games and he has committed six turnovers since Week 15.

Denver running back Willis McGahee is having a terrific day. He has 87 yards on 13 carries.
