Report: Sean Payton suspended for year

We’re still waiting for the official announcement from the NFL, but ESPN’s Adam Schefter has some of the early details on the punishments for the Saints.

Schefter reports coach Sean Payton will be suspended for one year and general manager Mickey Loomis will be suspended for half a season. Loomis also will be fined $500,000.

The Saints will lose a second-round draft pick this year and next year.
