Texas Tech defensive coordinator Ruffin McNeill told DallasNews.com's Tim MacMahon the Cowboys got quite a player in outside linebacker Brandon Williams.

"Brandon has been nothing but a model student and player for us at Texas Tech," McNeill said. "I'm on the road recruiting right now looking for guys with the attributes he has on and off the field. What the Cowboys get is a great locker-room guy who is very team-oriented. He's a guy they'll love being around, because he's got a little prankster in him. We'd love to have Brandon back, but we wish him well."

I think Williams could have gone two rounds higher in the draft had he played his senior year, but there is no turning back at this point.

The Giants just took Sam Houston State quarterback Rhett Bomar with the 151st pick in the fifth round. Very nice pick in my opinion. I watched the kid play in high school and then at Oklahoma. This is the type of developmental quarterback who will either help the Giants someday on the field or via a trade.
