I'm fixing to head over to our weekly chat, but first I wanted to update you on some carefully chosen words from Minnesota president Mark Wilf.
Reporters from the Star Tribune and St. Paul Pioneer Press intercepted Wilf, the younger brother of Vikings majority owner Zygi Wilf, during a barnstorming tour in Marshall, Minn., about four hours outside of the Twin Cities.
Wilf didn't exactly shut the door on the possibility of the Vikings signing retired quarterback Brett Favre when given multiple opportunities. If anything, Wilf confirmed the Vikings' interest. Here's the key quote:
"Certainly a player of Brett Favre's [status], a Hall of Fame quarterback with the competitiveness that he has, that is a player we would have interest, as we would have other players. ... I defer to our coach and personnel people to really evaluate those issues."
We'll pick up this discussion in about 10 minutes over at SportsNation.
