The Oakland Raiders and safety Tyvon Branch have agreed to terms on a four-year deal, according to multiple media reports.
The deal is worth $26.6 million and includes $17.1 million in guarantees, according to NFL.com.
The Raiders originally placed their franchise tag on Branch on March 1 and the former fourth-round pick signed the tender in May in order to join the team's offseason workouts under new coach Dennis Allen.
The sides had until Sunday to reach a long-term deal or Branch would have been forced to play the 2012 season under the $6.2 million tender.
