AFC East lagging in Power Rankings

The AFC East has not looked good in the preseason, combining for a 1-15 record. That was reflective in ESPN.com’s first NFL Power Rankings of the regular season.

The New England Patriots finished in second to enter the regular season. After that, there was no AFC East team that finished higher than 19th.

Here is where each team finished:
It's interesting to note that Buffalo finished ahead of New York this week. Many feel the Bills will get the second-place spot in the AFC East. However, Buffalo has to travel to face the Jets in Week 1. The Jets have had Buffalo’s number and this is a good chance for New York to get an early jump on the Bills.
