Ravens' Torrey Smith will play vs. Pats

September, 23, 2012
Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Torrey Smith will play Sunday night against the New England Patriots.

His younger brother, Tevin, died Sunday morning after a motorcycle accident in West Moreland County in northeast Virginia. Asked how he was doing by ESPN's Sal Paolantonio, Smith said before the game: "I don't know," he said. "It's still so fresh."

Smith was not among the Ravens' inactives. Ravens coach John Harbaugh said it would be Smith's decision on whether he would play.

Here are the inactives:

Ravens: WR LaQuan Williams, CB Asa Jackson, OT Jah Reid, TE Billy Bajema, DE DeAngelo Tyson, LB Sergio Kindle and DT Bryan Hall.

Patriots: RB Shane Vereen, DB Alfonzo Dennard, OL Nick McDonald, DL Brandon Deaderick, TE Aaron Hernandez, DE Jake Bequette and DE Justin Francis.
