BALTIMORE -- Browns receiver-returner Josh Cribbs had a scary moment in the first quarter of Thursday night's game against the Ravens.
Cribbs lay motionless on the ground for a few minutes after having his helmet dislodged by a shoulder-to-helmet hit from Ravens linebacker Dannell Ellerbe. After getting hit and fumbling, Cribbs fell backward and the back of his head bounced off the artificial surface. He also took a cleat to the face from running back Anthony Allen in the aftermath.
Cribbs eventually got up on his own power and walked off the field. He took a concussion test and told the trainers that he was fine before heading to the locker room. The Browns announced that Cribbs would not return to the game with a head injury.
Cribbs' fumble gave the Ravens the ball at the Cleveland 40-yard line. Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco then threw an interception in the end zone.
