Will Allen starting at safety for Steelers

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Will Allen is getting the start over Ryan Mundy at safety, it was announced at the Titans press box. Mundy had started in place of Troy Polamalu when the Pro Bowl safety had missed his two previous games this season. Polamalu aggravated his right calf Sunday.

This marks the first start for Allen in his three-year Steelers career. His last start came in 2009 when he was with the Buccaneers.

Head coach Mike Tomlin had hinted that the team might make a switch there earlier this week. Mundy received a critical penalty on a helmet-to-helmet hit Sunday against Philadelphia. The Steelers currently lead the NFL in penalties.

Jason Worilds is expected to start in place of linebacker LaMarr Woodley (hamstring).
