San Diego coach Norv Turner has strongly denied the team used a Stickum-like substance in Week 6 against Denver, and he said the team used a towel that other teams used.
Turner has always struck me as an honest, straightforward guy. I don’t think he’d deny something if he didn’t believe he knew the facts. So, I think we should give the Chargers the benefit of the doubt and wait for the facts to come out.
Of course, it is possible for a team to use something illegal without the coach’s knowledge. While we wait for the NFL’s investigation to play out, here is an interesting nugget. The Chargers have dropped the fewest passes in the NFL this season, according to ESPN Stats & Information.
