Falcons on historic pace

With their 30-17 victory against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, the Atlanta Falcons became the 31st team in the Super Bowl era to start a season 7-0.

But the Falcons are doing it in a more impressive fashion than almost all of their predecessors. The Falcons have scored 23 or more points in every game this season. According to ESPN Stats & Information, only five other teams in NFL history have started 7-0 while scoring 23 or more points in every game.

Here’s a look at the other teams that have accomplished that:

  • 2007 Patriots
  • 1998 Vikings
  • 1964 Bills
