Titans simply overwhelmed in first half

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The last time the Titans played a premier team, they lost in Houston by a score of 38-14.

This afternoon against the Bears at LP Field the Titans seem to be working hard to top it.

After a terribly ugly first half, Tennessee trails Chicago at LP Field, 31-5.

The Titans have been sloppy and ineffective, seemingly still hungover from their loss last week to the Colts that killed their chance to get to .500 and left them at 3-5.

They are on the express lane to 3-6 with this showing, which has included three lost fumbles, an interception returned for a touchdown and a blocked punt returned for a touchdown.

Mike Munchak’s team appears clueless, confused, disinterested and overmatched.

I’ll come up with more words to describe it if it stays on this course in the second half. And there is no reason to think things will change much.
