Showdown Sunday: Six games feature matchups between teams with winning records. It’s the first time that’s happened since December 7, 2003, and this is the latest calendar day it has ever happened. With that as a backdrop "Sunday NFL Countdown" is sending reporters to all six of those games and developing special elements that capture this rare football Sunday.
Big Ben conversation: It’s been an up-and-down season for Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers. Big Ben returned from a shoulder and rib injury last week only to lose to San Diego at home. Now fighting for a playoff spot, Ben joins Merril Hoge to talk about his season so far, his fearless style of play and how becoming a father has changed his life.
Von Miller’s Sophomore Rush: The Broncos are riding an eight-game win streak, the league’s longest current streak. Peyton Manning's play has been a major factor, but so has the improvement of their defense and the play of second-year linebacker Von Miller, who was the AFC Defensive Player of the Month in November. ESPN’s own former Broncos linebacker, Tom Jackson, traveled to Denver to talk to Miller about what makes him successful on the field and a candidate for the Defensive Player of the Year award.
