At the start of the week, the availability of Bengals running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis was uncertain. By the end of it, there's really no question at all about his status for Saturday's wild-card game at Houston.
Green-Ellis had full participation in Friday's practice and is listed as probable. He sat out Sunday's regular-season finale after injuring his hamstring in pregame warmups and didn't work out with the team on Tuesday. But he returned with limited participation Wednesday and Thursday.
The question I have about Green-Ellis is whether the hamstring injury will limit his explosiveness. He has six runs of 20-plus yards in his past six games (121 total rushes).
The Texans ranked seventh in run defense this season, allowing 97.5 yards on the ground per game. But Houston did give up 13 runs over 20 yards this season, which was tied for eighth-most in the league.
