The St. Louis Rams' contract agreement with Tennessee Titans tight end Jared Cook, announced by the team, gives the team greater ability to use two tight ends in tandem.

The chart compares 2012 numbers for Cook and the Rams' Lance Kendricks.

Cook, 6-foot-5 and 248 pounds, is 25 years old. Kendricks (6-3, 247) is also 25.

"Cook is a tight end with prototypical size for the position and rare physical tools," Scouts Inc. wrote. "He has struggled with a lack of consistency and hasn't lived up to his potential. He has the speed to be a consistent downfield threat and the athleticism and agility to be a solid route-runner on short to intermediate routes."

Rams coach Jeff Fisher was with the Titans when Tennessee selected in the third round of the 2009 draft.

The Rams need additional weapons for quarterback Sam Bradford. Cook counts as one.
