It won't take long for Wes Welker to extract revenge from the New England Patriots – or vice versa.

New England will host Welker and the Denver Broncos this upcoming season in a highly anticipated game at Gillette Stadium. The NFL will announce a time and date for the game in the spring.

The Patriots and Broncos are title contenders in the AFC. But the rivalry went up another notch when Welker left New England for Denver on Wednesday in free agency. The Patriots were reportedly low-balling Welker, who in turn left his good friend Tom Brady for another elite quarterback in Peyton Manning.

Welker will not be the only free agent with AFC East ties seeking revenge. New Miami Dolphins receiver Mike Wallace will travel to play his former Pittsburgh Steelers team this season. Miami also will host the Baltimore Ravens, who lost free-agent linebacker Dannell Ellerbe this week to the Dolphins.
