Eric Fisher? Luke Joeckel?

The intrigue continues in Kansas City involving the No. 1 overall pick in Thursday night’s NFL draft. And the Chiefs aren’t telling.

ESPN’s Ed Werder reports that the Chiefs have decided on who the pick will be. The general consensus for weeks was that Joeckel, a left tackle from Texas A&M, would be the top pick. However, in the past day, there has been steam that Fisher, a left tackle from Central Michigan, would be the choice.

The Chiefs do not plan on revealing the pick until they actually make the choice. The reason is the Chiefs are still open to making a trade, and there is some dialogue. Thus, Kansas City is going to work the clock.

Meanwhile, the trade talks with Miami involving left tackle Branden Albert continue. The potential trade is expected to involve one of Miami’s two second-round picks. The deal has to be made before the second round is complete Friday night.
