In the video above, Mike Golic and Ryan Ruocco react to Bengals offensive tackle Andrew Whitworth's statement that he would quit if he was on a franchise that moved to London.
"I would hope that I was financially able to quit," Whitworth said.
Whitworth believes he isn't the only one who would object to playing overseas.
"I don't see that a lot of guys would want to do that," he said. "I don't see any players that would enjoy that. Sure, you may find a handful of guys that say, 'Oh hey, that'd be cool,' but the rest of them wouldn't."
I'm not sure I agree with Whitworth that a lot of guys would protest playing in London. Some may not want to spend their entire careers there because of the travel and the long distance between them and friends and family. But, if there is an opportunity to play in the NFL and the money is the same, I believe players would take the next flight on British Airways and be happy to eat fish and chips for 17 weeks.
