The New England Patriots released star tight end Aaron Hernandez after three seasons on Wednesday. Hernandez is being investigated in a homicide case that recently took place near his home in North Attleborough, Mass.
Hernandez was one of New England’s top receiving threats. He caught 175 receptions for 1,956 yards and 18 touchdowns since being drafted in the fourth round in 2010.
