Kansas City Guard Jeff Allen has a shoulder injury and had to leave practice Saturday. The Kansas City Star reports he could miss some time. Allen is competing with Geoff Schwartz for a starting job.

Oakland officially signed guard/center Andre Gurode. He hasn’t played since 2011. The former five-time Pro Bowl player was brought in to provide veteran experience at a position where Oakland is green at. If healthy, Gurode gives the Raiders some confidence because of his experience.

The Denver Post reports a positive drug test is not the reason why Broncos’ star pass-rusher Von Miller is facing a four-game NFL suspension. Miller is appealing. Perhaps Miller could see the suspension get reduced if not completely wiped away.
