Jairus Byrd (foot) doubtful for Sunday

September, 6, 2013
ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Buffalo Bills safety Jairus Byrd is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the New England Patriots, head coach Doug Marrone announced Friday.

Byrd is battling plantar fasciitis in both feet, and was limited in practice this week.

"He's working extremely hard to get back," Marrone said Thursday. "I feel very comfortable with his knowledge. He's out here doing things with us. One day I think he's going to wake up and say 'Hey, I feel great. Let's go.'"

Cornerback Stephon Gilmore (fractured wrist), offensive lineman Doug Legursky (knee), and kicker Dustin Hopkins (right groin) were officially declared out.

Quarterback EJ Manuel (knee) is probable.
