Pregame: Sanchez throwing ... lefty

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Mark Sanchez, out with an injured throwing shoulder, made an appearance on the field for pregame warm-ups. And, yes, he was throwing a football ... left-handed.

That pretty much summarizes the state of the Jets' quarterback position.

Clearly, Sanchez still isn't close to returning to the Jets' lineup, and who knows if he'll get his old job back. He won't play Thursday night against the Patriots; that much seems obvious. Beyond that, we'll see. I've been told that he will miss a few weeks. They don't want to rush him back, fearing he could do more damage to his shoulder, which reportedly has a bruised joint.
