Clay Matthews was the headliner when referring to the controversy that happened during the Green Bay Packers' Week 1 playoff-like loss to San Francisco, but two 49ers got their licks in as well. And they're paying for it.

According to the NFL, it has fined linebacker Ahmad Brooks $12,500 for roughing the passer and receiver Anquan Boldin got docked $7,875 for a late hit on Jarrett Bush in the third quarter.

The fines for Brooks and Boldin combined were more than the $15,000 Matthews was fined for his late hit on San Francisco quarterback Colin Kaepernick. Matthews' hit started a melee in the 49ers’ eventual 34-28 win.

UPDATE: Friday, reporters asked San Francisco offensive lineman Alex Boone his thoughts on Matthews’ fine. What would be the fine levied by the colorful Boone? "Probably just punch him in the face.”

Yes, I’m too hoping these two teams meet again in the playoffs.
