IRVING, Texas – Dallas Cowboys defensive end George Selvie was fined $7,875 for his face mask penalty against Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning.

Selvie was flagged in the second quarter when he grabbed and twisted Manning’s face mask, negating an incomplete pass. The Broncos scored two plays later for a 21-17 lead with 5:22 left in the first half.

Selvie is the third Cowboy to be fined this year. Safety Barry Church was fined $5,250 for throwing a football into the stands after scoring a touchdown (following a fumble recovery) in the season opener against the New York Giants. Church appealed and had the fine reduced. Wide receiver Dez Bryant was fined $7,875 for a throat-slash gesture against the St. Louis Rams. There has been no word on his appeal.
