FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski is among the team’s seven inactive players for today’s game against the New Orleans Saints.

The list of Patriots inactives:

WR Matthew Slater
S Tavon Wilson
RB Leon Washington
G/C Chris Barker
WR Josh Boyce
TE Rob Gronkowski
DT Tommy Kelly

ANALYSIS: No major surprises based on our projection. … Receiver Austin Collie makes his Patriots debut, and his presence knocks Boyce to the inactive list. … Running back Stevan Ridley, who missed last Sunday’s loss with a knee injury, is active and figures to be an important part of the plan. … Starting center Ryan Wendell, who was questionable with a concussion, is active and the Patriots are going with the standard seven offensive linemen so there doesn’t seem to be much concern with Wendell. … Rookie linebacker Steve Beauharnais is active for the first time since the season opener. … Cornerback Marquice Cole, who has been limited with a hamstring injury, is playing and will factor more into the special-teams mix as a replacement for Slater.

As for the Saints active, they are:

WR Lance Moore
RB Mark Ingram
CB Rod Sweeting
S Roman Harper
OT Zach Strief
DE Tyrunn Walker
OLB Martez Wilson
