Kelly has missed the past three games with a right knee injury suffered Oct. 6 against the Bengals. He had been limited in practices on Wednesday and Thursday.
In Kelly's absence, the Patriots have been thin at defensive tackle, relying heavily on rookies Joe Vellano and Chris Jones, with first-year player Marcus Forston the third man in the rotation. Newly acquired veteran nose tackle Isaac Sopoaga joins the mix, and Bill Belichick said Friday that as long as things keep progressing, there is no reason to think he wouldn't play Sunday.
The Patriots practiced inside the Dana-Farber Fieldhouse for the first time since the season started, as there are heavy winds in the area. Belichick said the main consideration for moving inside was for the safety of the staffers who film video on the lifts.
EXTRA POINT: The Patriots also made a correction to Thursday's practice report, noting that quarterback Tom Brady (right shoulder) was limited, and not a full participant.
