Weatherspoon set to practice Wednesday*

November, 6, 2013
FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- Atlanta Falcons linebacker Sean Weatherspoon, sidelined since Week 2 with a foot injury, announced intentions to return to practice Wednesday.

Weatherspoon, who was placed on injured reserve with a designation to return, was eligible to return to practice last week. He won't be eligible to play in game until next week against Tampa Bay, when the Falcons are allowed to activate him from IR.

Weatherspoon said he feels good enough to play this Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks, but he's not eligible to do so.

"For me, it's good to be out there talking,'' Weatherspoon said. "Hopefully, it's a good thing. I just look forward to going out and just being all about the guys that are going to be out there playing.''

Weatherspoon isn't the only linebacker set to return to practice Wednesday. Stephen Nicholas, who missed the last two games with a quad injury, said he won't be on the injury report today.

Wide receiver Roddy White is expected to practice today, but it remains unclear whether White will return this week from hamstring and ankle injuries. He has missed the past three games.

*UPDATE: White and Weatherspoon were in full gear for practice.

Also, defensive tackle Corey Peters, who injured his knee against the Carolina Panthers, was not on the practice field during the viewing portion of practice.
