Dez Bryant plans on playing Sunday

November, 6, 2013
IRVING, Texas -- Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant missed Wednesday's practice with some back stiffness, but said he plans on playing in Sunday's game at the New Orleans Saints.

Bryant said he missed practice as a precaution.

Also, defensive end DeMarcus Ware practiced on a limited basis for the first time in three weeks on Wednesday.

Miles Austin (hamstring), Morris Claiborne (hamstring), Jason Hatcher (neck), DeVonte Holloman (neck) and J.J. Wilcox (knee) missed practice. Claiborne said he did some light running on Wednesday, but it's doubtful he'll play.

Hatcher said he's got some nerve damage in his neck area which is limiting the strength of his arm, and he's worried about playing in the Saints game.

Barry Church (hamstring), Dwayne Harris (hip), Danny McCray (hip and toe) and DeMarco Murray (knee) were listed on the injury report, but did practice.

Nick Hayden (ribs) was a limited participant.
Calvin Watkins joined in September 2009. He's covered the Cowboys since 2006 and also has covered colleges, boxing and high school sports.
