In other injury updates, starting quarterback Jay Cutler warmed up on the field prior to the start of Sunday’s game, and appeared to be fully healthy as he took part in several drop-back passes coming off tearing a groin muscle during the Oct. 20 loss at Washington. Cutler displayed full mobility during his drops, which is a positive for the Bears considering they face an active Lions defensive front anchored by defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh.
The Lions racked up five sacks the last time these teams met at Soldier Field during a 13-7 Chicago victory.
As for McClellin, the second-year defensive end strained a hamstring during a workout Thursday inside the Walter Payton Center, and was listed as doubtful on the injury report on Friday. Rookie David Bass will start in McClellin’s place.
Lions inactives included receiver Nate Burleson, quarterback Kellen Moore, running back Mikel Leshoure, cornerback Bill Bentley, guard Leroy Harris, offensive tackle Corey Hilliard and defensive end Ziggy Ansah.
