Pete Carroll jokes about Lynch's passing

By Terry Blount

RENTON, Wash. -- Only one little thing about Marshawn Lynch's game Sunday at Atlanta failed to get an A+ for Seattle coach Pete Carroll.

Lynch
During his weekly radio show on 710ESPN Seattle, Carroll was asked to grade Lynch’s back pass to Russell Wilson on the gadget play that became a 43-yard TD pass from Wilson to Jermaine Kearse.

“About a C-minus,” Carroll said of Lynch’s dead-quail throw back to Wilson. “It was effective, but style points were poor.”

Lynch won’t win any awards for a perfect spiral, but his 145 yards rushing Sunday, coupled with his 125 yards the week before against Tampa Bay, are his highest total yards in back-to-back games in his career.

“He’s playing great football, so consistently tough,” Carroll said of Lynch. “He’s giving everything he has. He’s on his game.”
