Ankle keeps Elvis Dumervil out of practice
By Jamison Hensley
OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- Outside linebacker Elvis Dumervil was the only starter for the Baltimore Ravens who didn't practice Wednesday.
He injured his ankle in Thursday night's win over the Pittsburgh Steelers but returned to the game. Ravens coach John Harbaugh said Monday that the team may need to nurse some injured players throughout the week.
Dumervil, who leads the Ravens with 9.5 sacks, is expected to play Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings.
Cornerback Jimmy Smith, who suffered a concussion last Thursday, was limited in practice after being cleared by doctors.
Here's the official injury report for the Ravens:
Did not practice: LB Elvis Dumervil (ankle) and S Brynden Trawick (ankle).
Limited participation: DE Chris Canty (shoulder), CB Asa Jackson (thigh), CB Jimmy Smith (concussion), WR Brandon Stokley (knee) and CB Lardarius Webb (abs).
