Packers report: Rodgers doesn’t do much

By Rob Demovsky

GREEN BAY, Wis. – The Green Bay Packers will make an official designation on quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ status after Friday’s practice but based on what could be seen during the brief portion open to reporters, things did not look good for his return.

Rodgers did some light throwing but when team (11-on-11) periods began, Matt Flynn got the call.

It’s always possible that coach Mike McCarthy did not want reporters to see Rodgers work, but McCarthy has not used much gamesmanship since Rodgers fractured his collarbone on Nov. 4. Each Friday that has followed, Rodgers has been ruled out.

The Packers got some good news on Friday, when running back Eddie Lacy (ankle), linebacker Brad Jones (ankle), linebacker Jamari Lattimore (knee) and linebacker Mike Neal (abdomen) all returned to practice.

The only player who was out of practice completely was defensive end C.J. Wilson (ankle).

The full injury report will be available after practice.
