Giants' inactives as expected

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- The New York Giants already ruled defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul out for a third straight game Friday, so it was no surprise to see his name on the inactives list for Sunday's game here against the Seahawks. The only remaining question about Pierre-Paul, who has a shoulder injury that's keeping him from practicing, is whether he'll play in either of the final two games of the season. It seems unlikely at this point.

Also ruled out Friday were cornerback Corey Webster, who may well have played his final game as a Giant already, and safety Cooper Taylor, who was on crutches earlier in the week as a result of a hamstring injury he suffered last week in San Diego. Joining them on the inactives list are tight end Adrien Robinson, who's been inactive for every game this year, offensive lineman Stephen Goodin, linebacker Allen Bradford and third quarterback Ryan Nassib.

Robinson is the one guy at whom you'd think the Giants would like to get a look before the end of this season, assuming he's fully healthy. He wasn't earlier in the season, but he's been practicing for weeks and still can't crack the lineup. A tight end for whom the Giants once had high hopes, Robinson remains a mysterious part of the future since at this point they don't feel he's earned the right to suit up on game day.

As usual, Mathias Kiwanuka starts at defensive end in place of Pierre-Paul, and Trumaine McBride starts at cornerback in place of Webster.

We'll be here all day with your updates from Seahawks-Giants. Enjoy.
