Harbaugh lauds 49ers' offseason health
By Bill Williamson
SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- San Francisco 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh celebrated the team's overall health this offseason, on the day two of Michael Crabtree's key offensive teammates said how good the receiver has looked.
While the 49ers held out several players throughout the offseason with minor injuries, Harbaugh noted Thursday, as the team ended its three-day minicamp, that they didn't endure any significant injuries during the nine-week offseason program.
Last year, the 49ers were crushed by Crabtree's torn Achilles suffered in May. He didn't return until Dec. 1. Crabtree helped the 49ers down the stretch and appears to be much healthier now.
Both fellow receiver Anquan Boldin and quarterback Colin Kaepernick noted Thursday that Crabtree has regained his explosion.
"At the end of last year he still wasn't 100 percent," Kaepernick said. "He has a lot more burst to him now. Looks really good."
