Jets in great shape at halftime
By Tim Graham
CINCINNATI -- Paul Brown Stadium is awfully quiet.
Shonn Greene and the Jets dominated the Bengals in the first half.
The New York Jets lead the Cincinnati Bengals 14-7 at halftime with a pair of second-quarter touchdowns. The Jets look pretty comfortable. The Bengals are melting down.
The Bengals have committed a pair of giveaways in Jets territory, have lost players to injury, failed to overturn two challenges (forfeiting their rights for the rest of the game) and have committed four penalties for 35 yards.
And the Jets get the ball to start the second half.
Laveranues Coles leads the Bengals with four catches for 33 yards and a touchdown but suffered a thumb injury in the second quarter. Third receiver Andre Caldwell's left ankle got rolled up right before halftime and is expected to return, but he was limping badly.
